True story: In the summer of 1995, our friend Frank Phelps was driving up to Massachusetts after visiting us in Ocracoke. He stopped into a diner in Richmond, Virginia to get some breakfast after driving all night. The guy cooking his eggs was wearing a Windfall T-shirt (as was Frank) and asked him if heíd been to Flamingo and sailed on the Windfall.

"Yes," Frank said, "but I've just come from visiting Rob and Sundae at Ocracoke."

"No kidding!" the cook replied, "Did Sundae have her baby yet?"

The cook had been down to Flamingo that winter on vacation when Sundae was pregnant with Emmet (who was born in May).

Home is an Island: Our Kids' Favorite Lullabies -- While the tendency to put the listener to sleep might be a somewhat dubious distinction for most CDs, this one does the job! These are not all "lullabies" in the traditional sense -- several of the selections are sea songs. What'd ya expect? $15

The Rumgagger -- A live recording of a peformance from Ocracoke's Deepwater Theater of sea stories and poems. Several are Rob's original creations, including "Israel Hands", a poem about the pirate Blackbeard. The CD also contains some traditional nautical fiddler tunes by "Fiddler Dave" Tweedie of Molasses Creek. $15
