From April through October, the Windfall II sails daily, weather permitting.

Join in with the sail hoisting or just kick back and relax as we sail out of beautiful Silver Lake to watch the sun drop down into Pamlico Sound. The 1.5-hour cruise returns to the dock right after sunset and costs $40 (all passengers).

Departure times vary with the time of sunset so it’s best to call ahead for current schedules.

Please pay as you board with cash or traveler’s check (sorry – no plastic accepted!).

The Windfall II can be chartered for private parties of up to 6 people. The rate for times other than sunset is $150 per hour. A private 1.5-hr. sunset cruise costs $240.

Weddings

If there’s a more romantic setting for a wedding than under a full press of gaff-rigged canvas on Pamlico Sound at sunset, we can’t picture it. Ordained by the Universal Life Church, the captain is legally authorized to perform weddings on board.

We have several secular wedding ceremonies (including a pirate wedding!) which we have used over the past several years but will be happy to tailor them to suit your tastes.

For the price of a charter, the wedding will be done on board without additional charge. If you’d like, we can arrange for musicians, florists, photographers and/or catering.

You’ll want your camera by all means. Keep in mind that on breezy days and at sunset, it’s often cooler out on the sound so you might want a jacket or sweater. We don’t sell or serve refreshments but you are welcome to bring food and drink, including beer or wine but nothing stronger (no hard liquor, please). We ask that you leave coolers ashore due to limited deck space.

The Windfall is a smoke-free vessel.
